Cozy Winter

Winter is here in earnest now, with colder temperatures and some snow. Not everyone loves the wintertime, but here are some ways to make it more bearable if not enjoyable. Hygge, a Danish term, means creating a warm, cozy space to enjoy life with your friends and loved ones.

Hygge coziness:

Warm drinks are the way to go when it’s cold outside. A coffee to get you going in the morning, a tea mid-afternoon or hot chocolate with fluffy marshmallows after building a snowman. The Fellow Stagg EKG electric kettle looks stylish and heats water
in a jiffy.

Pillows just make everything more comfy
and cozy. Whether they are on your bed or nestled into the corner of a sectional sofa, they are not just for decoration. Comfy pillows are just the thing to bring some hygge to your home.

Candles add warmth and light. The light, fresh scent of the Capri Blue Volcano candle is delightful. Its fresh and citrusy but not overwhelming. It comes in all kinds of jars and tins, but this pearlized glass one is beautiful.

Slippers are essential during the winter to keep your feet snug. The Ugg Dakota Slippers are so comfortable and soft. And the moccasin styling and sole mean you can wear them to take the trash out and stay warm. The fuzzy insoles can be replaced with new fluffy ones once the originals wear out.

A microwaveable neck wrap is just the ticket to stay warm on those harsh days. Not just for your neck, use this to warm anything from your toes to your back to your shoulders. This Warmies wrap looks extra cozy with the faux fur cover.

I’m not a robe person. So when I get comfy
at home, a fleece pullover is my go-to (along with some lined leggings or sweatpants).
The Los Gatos fleece is a great choice for low-key days where comfort is a must… or just a goal!

Hear me out on the UnHide Marshmallow blanket. It is an investment, but everyone fights over it in our house. Its fluffy, cozy and heavy. So it’s like a hybrid of a light weighted blanket and the softest one you can imagine. Do with that info what you will, but we love it.
