Professional Home Organizing

Is the clutter and disorganization in your home causing you stress?
Do you want to feel good about being in your space, where
everything feels calm, functional and in control?

Home is a place to feel calm and peaceful. But when stuff is taking over your space, or you can’t find what you need, it can be truly overwhelming. We help by transforming your environment in ways you never imagined.

Working hand-in-hand, we create organization by designing a customized plan of action, including the right products to buy and the right places to use them, to organize your space. Together we declutter, make decisions and implement systems.

Let An Organized Life take the disorganization out of your life so you can focus on what matters most. You, your family, and an organized space.

Other services we offer include:

  • Space planning, design & optimization
  • System design to maintain organization
  • Storage and organizing solutions
  • Closet re-design and organization
  • Mail and paper management
  • Electronic and digital organizing
  • Technology/Digital organizing & training
  • Financial organizing (Quicken, Quickbooks, Mint)
  • Project Management
  • Holiday Decorating & Design, planning, set & strike
  • Event Planning & Management

How we work:

Our customized organizational services begin with the Discovery Session to identify challenges, provide project guidance and a plan of action, product suggestions and functionality adjustment.  Once our plan is in place, we roll up our sleeves and begin the hands on work, decluttering, making decisions, creating systems and donating and discarding.

Now Hiring

Professional Organizer / Move Manager (Part‑Time) An Organized Life – Greater Boston Area

An Organized Life is hiring a Professional Organizer & Move Manager who wants to start hands-on, learning from the best, and grow into a Lead role — a trusted advisor who takes point on projects, mentors’ teammates, and helps uphold our gold-standard of work.

About An Organized Life

For over 21 years, An Organized Life has been Massachusetts’ premier professional organizing and move management company, helping Clients bring space, belongings, and life transitions into balance.

Role Highlights

  • Part‑time, growing hours as training and responsibilities increase
  • Weekday availability required between 9am–5pm (occasional longer day or Saturday as needed)
  • On‑site client work (homes, small businesses) plus some remote admin/project work
  • Physically active role: lifting and moving household items up to 25 lbs

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Hands‑on organizing: closets, kitchens, storage rooms, kids’ spaces, office areas
  • Move management: pre‑move planning, packing, unpacking, and new‑home setup
  • Supporting neurodivergent and senior clients with tailored systems and gentle guidance
  • Picking up shopping orders and dropping off donations when needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Reliable car, valid driver’s license, and insurance
  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Comfortable working in spaces that may be chronically disorganized
  • Non‑judgmental, patient, and able to set clear boundaries with clients
  • Some background in organizing, move management, design/space planning, or client/project work is a plus
  • Willing to learn, self‑educate, and grow in the role

What We’re Looking For

  • Advisory confidence. You can guide a client toward a decision — including one they didn’t expect — without being pushy or losing their trust. You stay composed when a client asks something you don’t know, and you can de-escalate a session that starts to feel overwhelming or tense for the Client.
  • A real system, not just multitasking. You don’t just juggle tasks in the moment — you work from a repeatable process for sequencing and pacing a multi-session project.
  • Follow-through — consistently. When you say you’ll check on something or get back to a client, you do — without being chased. You keep your own tasks, proactive planning, and backlog straight, so nothing slips and you own your book of business.
  • Confidence closing the deal. You can walk a client through a proposal, speak to the value behind the offering, and help them say yes — without being pushy or over-promising what the work will look like.

This Role Is Ideal If You’re:

  • Naturally organized and energized by turning chaos into functional, beautiful
  • Have outstanding communication and project management skills
  • Bring experience from corporate America, managing multi-dimensional projects, or consulting with and advising clients — with the emotional intelligence to be the calm, informed voice in the room, even when a client is stressed, resistant, or unsure what they want.
  • Skilled at assessing a space or situation and translating it into a clear, workable system — not just organizing what’s in front of you, but designing order that will hold up after you leave
  • Looking for meaningful, flexible, part-time work — not the corporate grind, but real people helping solve real problems and supporting one another
  • Patient, empathetic, and comfortable working with clients who are organizationally challenged
  • Physical ability to lift, carry up to 25lbs, and be on your feet for extended periods during moves and organizing sessions
  • A reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to Client homes across Greater Boston and MetroWest

Benefits

  • Performance bonuses
  • Paid days off
  • Paid training and ongoing skill development
  • Support towards certification and continuing education
  • Supportive, women-centered team culture

Your Growth Path & Compensation

Trial Phase: Contractor / Foundation & Fit Assessment (0–30 days)

  • Work alongside the team organizing spaces and supporting move projects
  • Trial Phase — 1099 contractor (trial period to explore mutual fit)

Phase I + II: Employee / Associate Organizer / Basic Organizing & Move Management (30–90 days)

  • Support organizing and move management projects
  • Provide administrative support: taking notes, annotating photos, uploading to company systems, and helping create design plans
  • Begin taking on solo projects, based on experience and skill

Phase III: Employee / Professional Organizer – Moving into Lead (90+ days, performance-based)

  • Move into lead point of contact and trusted advisor for assigned Clients, from consultation through project wrap-up.
  • Partner with the Operations Manager to develop full project plans, timelines, client estimates, and other process documents
  • Direct and mentor other team organizers during sessions and larger projects
  • Help uphold AOL’s standards and flag opportunities to improve processes and Client communication

Advancement is performance-based, not automatic or guaranteed on a fixed timeline.

Scheduling & Flexibility

  • Part-time, project-based work, with flexible work and vacation schedule
  • Sessions scheduled weekdays, 9am–5pm, booked 1–4 weeks in advance
  • Typical schedule: 3–5 days per week (morning, afternoon, or both)
  • Occasional Saturdays may be required during move projects
  • Once-a-month staff meeting required (4:30–6:30 PM)
